Hi, we have reservations for the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party on St. Patricks Day 3/17/12. Does MK ever fill to capacity on St. Patty's Day? Just wondering if we need to stay in the park all day or if they'll let us in with a dining reservation?

    Hi Alaine,

Because St. Patrick's Day often occurs during Spring Break for many schools around the country, March 17th may be a high capacity day.  However, since Easter is in April this year (several weeks after your visit), it is unlikely that the Magic Kingdom will close because it has reached full capacity.  It wouldn't hurt, though, to speak with Cast Members as you are entering the park to ask whether they anticipate unusually high attendance rates that day.

If the park were to close due to the number of guests in attendance, they would not be able to allow you into the park, even if you have a reservation for the dessert party.  Once a park reaches full capacity, Disney is not permitted to allow additional guests to enter for safety reasons.  However, I think you are not likely to experience this scenario this coming March.  I was in the Magic Kingdom last St. Patrick's Day and the park was open for guests to come and go as they pleased all day.

Wishing you a truly magical vacation next month!
