We have reservations and tickets December 26-30. We don't want to add park hopper but with the crowd numbers during this time, will we be able to leave the park to rest at our hotel and be able to re-enter later in the day?

    Hi, Alison! Welcome to planDisney!

You'll be having a happy holiday indeed when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort on Christmas Day! I can't think of a better gift to give yourself and your family than the gift of a magical vacation!

When you're having all of that holiday fun in the parks, I can absolutely understand why you'd be thinking of taking a midday break at your Resort hotel. It's so refreshing to rest up a bit and head back for the evening ready to go. We like that idea so much around here that you'll often see your planDisney pals advising other Guests to do just that!

While hopping between different parks may be paused on any given day if the theme parks reach capacity, you should be allowed to re-enter the same park in which you had your original Disney Park Pass reservation. It's probably wise to ask a Cast Member at the entrance before you leave, especially if you're visiting the Magic Kingdom Park. I think you should be fine, but it never hurts to ask just to be on the safe side. During the busy holiday season, you never know when things might change!

I hope this helps you make the most of your Disney days, Alison. Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and I wish you the very merriest of holidays!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
