Hi, Robert! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My family and I absolutely love
Shades of Green on
Walt Disney World Resort. As a matter of fact, we just returned from a week-long stay there (and we’ll be back again for the opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the end of August). Your question reminded me that I also needed to link that reservation to
My Disney Experience, and I think I may know why you’re running into a glitch.
While Guests at Shades of Green enjoy benefits of other
Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests such as
FastPass+ bookings up to 60 days in advance and
Extra Magic Hours, since the hotel is not operated as an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel, our reservation numbers are a little bit different. For some reason, if you try to link a Shades of Green reservation through your
My Disney Experience mobile app, you’ll receive an error message saying the reservation can’t be found. If you use a computer or a mobile web browser (such as Safari or Google Chrome), you should be able to link it without a problem.
Once you’re logged into My Disney Experience, click “My Plans.” From here, click the Resort Hotel icon and then the blue “
Link a Reservation” button. Here you should be able to copy and paste the Confirmation Number from your Shades of Green reservation confirmation email. Also make sure you type in the Last Name exactly as it appears on the reservation. You should then see a screen asking you to link the name on your reservation with the appropriate person or people on your My Disney Experience
Family & Friends list. If you run into any glitches, just call (407) 939-4357 for additional help.
Hopefully these steps will get your reservation linked and ready for your 60-day window. (Bonus tip: you can book FastPass+ experiences for the length of your stay (up to 10 days) 60 days out from your check-in date. If you’re staying for several days, try to book those hard-to-get experiences for later in your vacation.)
Good luck, Robert! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with as you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Amy
