Hey there, Linda. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm so glad you are thinking about making dining reservations ahead of time, some of the best restaurants can fill up pretty quickly.
Linda, you are able to make
advanced dining reservations for your Walt Disney World vacation 60 days in advance. If you are checking in on June 12th, then the date you are able to make reservations is going to be this Tuesday, April 13th. You can make advanced dining reservations online using your MyDisneyExperience account starting at 6:00 a.m. or over the phone (407-WDW-DINE) starting at 7:00 a.m. My personal favorite way to making dining reservations, and I've had good luck with it, is to use the MyDisneyExperience app. I like to set my alarm for around 5:50 a.m. so I can get up and settled with my notes of what I want before the clock strikes 6:00 a.m. Then I open up the app and select the search icon on the bottom menu of the screen. Next, I type in what restaurant I am looking to make a reservation at, select it from the menu, select "Reserve Dining" and go from there. This will bring up a prompt to select your party size, date and time you wish to dine and then show if there is any availability. I think using the app really speeds up the process, but you are able to do it from a regular computer as well.
Cinderella's Royal Table is a wonderful restaurant to enjoy while you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park during your vacation. However, I did want to let you know that, at this time, Princesses are still not greeting Guests while they dine. Currently, the restaurant is accepting reservations for lunch and dinner. If for some reason, you are not able to secure a dining reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table and have your heart set on eating there, they are currently letting Guests join a virtual Walk-Up List via the MyDisneyExperience app the day your are there. If the Walk-Up List is being offered the day you are there, open up the MyDisneyExperience app and search for Cinderella's Royal Table. Once you've selected the restaurant you'll see options like Find on a Map, Get Directions and then Join Walk-Up List.
If you have your heart set on a
character dining experience, there are a few to choose from. Right now, character dining experiences are being offered at Garden Grill Restaurant at Epcot, Hollywood & Vine and Disney's Hollywood Studios, Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort and Chef Mickey's located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I recently dinned at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera and had a fabulous time. Even though character dining looks a little bit different right now, I had the best time waving, smiling and snapping some physically distant pictures with some of my old friends. In fact, I actually got some of the best selfies I've ever taken with my girl, Minnie Mouse and I think it's because she was further away from me I could see her whole outfit. The entire experience was a lot of fun.
Linda, I hope you are able to secure dining reservations for the restaurants on your must-try list. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Enjoy!
