We have reservations for a standard room at the Polynesian Resort. We are traveling with our three daughters ages 5, 7, and 12. What Longhouse should I request? We are looking for updated room and close to Hall, monorail to MK and transportation to Epcot?

    Aloha, Cathy,

Our favorite longhouse that we always request is Tokelau. It so centrally located that we find the walks to the Great Ceremonial House (main building with food/monorail), the bus stop, and the Ticket and Transportation Center (monorail to Epcot) are all short ones. It has views of the quiet pool on one side and views of the gardens on the other side, which are considered standard views.  But, I have to tell you our little secret.  We always request first floor rooms that face the gardens because we then walk out onto our patio and turn to the side because we can then see the fireworks!

As for room renovations, the work on the rooms is beginning early this year. My understanding is that work on Tokelau is tentatively scheduled for late March, and I'd allow a couple of months for the work to be completed.  I'm not sure of the dates of your vacation, but I'm hoping that this falls before your trip.

Wishing you a magical trip!  Please let us know if you have any further questions.
