Howdy Marcia
Welcome to planDisney! I can’t believe it took my family so long to experience a Disney water park, but we finally took the plunge a few years ago at Typhoon Lagoon, and we absolutely loved it. So let's not leave your question high and dry like the Miss. Tilly and get right to it.
I see you are arriving on February 19th and want to confirm whether the benefit of a water park admission on check-in day will still be available for your visit. According to the
Walt Disney World website's page on water parks, this benefit did expire on December 31st, 2025. It says this perk will be available to Disney Resorts Collection guests during the summer of 2026, with more details and specifics to be released in 2026.
I know this isn't the news you'd like to hear, but I do have a few options that might work for you. The first option would be to add a 1-day water park admission to your existing ticket package. I see that Typhoon Lagoon will close on February 15th, and
Blizzard Beach will open. How “Cool” would it be to spend the day at this incredible mountain ski resort found right in the middle of Orlando, of all places! This fantastic water park has thrilling slides for thrill seekers and the calming waters of Cross Country Creek for floating and relaxing for a while. My second option would be to spend a refreshing day enjoying your resort's pool area. I’ve found that the resort pools are literally overflowing with fun themes and Disney character. You can enjoy many poolside activities, including games, relays, trivia, and more!
Marcia, I hope that I’ve been able to provide you with a few great options to make your upcoming vacation as magical as possible. If you have any further questions, please dive back in here at
planDisney, where my friends and I are ready to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
