Greetings, Noelle!
Welcome to planDisney! I am thrilled to hEAR that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days! Have you started packing yet? You will be able to take part in the
50th Anniversary Celebration during your visit. There are so many new experiences, exclusive merchandise, snacks, treats, and cocktails to enjoy as a part of the celebration. My favorite is
Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection which pays tribute to the most loved Disney Characters. You will find 50 golden statues across all 4 theme parks, can you find them all?
Disney created the
Disability Access Service for Guests with disabilities who cannot tolerate a wait in a traditional attraction queue. There are 2 ways that you can get approved for a DAS pass. You can pre-register in a virtual chat with a Cast Member at least 2 days before your park visit and no more than 30 days before you arrive. The Cast Member will determine if DAS will suit your needs while in the parks. Once approved, they will work with you to reserve 2 one-hour return times for select attractions as a part of DAS Advanced Planning. Be sure that everyone in your travel party is linked to your
My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. Everyone will also need a valid theme park ticket and park pass reservation for each day you are planning to visit a theme park. Once your
DAS Advanced Planning selections have been made, you will see them on your Tip Board on the day that you will visit.
You can also register for DAS in person with a Cast Member at any Guest Relations booth or City Hall in the Magic Kingdom. When you register in person, you will not be eligible for the extra DAS Advance selections. However, you will be able to make selections in My Disney Experience once you have entered the park using the
Same-Day Self-Service DAS selection tool. To access this tool, open the mobile app, tap on the 3 horizontal lines in the lower right corner and you will see a DAS selection button appear in your menu. You or anyone in your party can make same-day selections. These can be in addition to the DAS Advanced selections if you pre-registered. You can only make one request at a time. You will redeem your experiences using the Lightning Lane Entrance at each attraction. Once you have scanned in to ride, you can select your next experience. You can continue making selections until the park closes. If you require any other assistance, you can reach out to the Disability Services Team at (407) 560-2547 or by email at disability.services@disneyparks.com.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
