Hello and welcome to planDisney, Matthew!
I am thrilled to hear that you have a Walt Disney World family vacation coming up fairly soon. Are you ready? Now is the time to start thinking about all the things you
can enjoy during your visit. As you prepare your dining reservations, I highly recommend adding breakfast at
Kona Cafe before heading over to Magic Kingdom. The Tonga Toast is a must-try and the perfect way to fuel up before a day of magic.
To enter the theme parks and access attractions with
Lightning Lane passes, you’ll need to scan everyone's ticket each time. (Don’t worry about scanning in for dinner reservations, you’ll just let the Cast Member at the host stand know you’ve arrived). Since you will be using
Disney MagicMobile, I recommend storing all five tickets in your mobile wallet for easier access. As the ticket holder of my family, I usually stand off to the side and tap in one person at a time, making myself the last person to enter the park or attraction queue. After a day of doing this, our family found our groove and an unofficial line order that helped speed up this process for us throughout the trip.
I will mention that we’ve only used Disney MagicMobile on a handful of occasions, typically for those last-minute, short vacations. We usually rely on
MagicBands for our visits. That way, everyone can manage themselves at those check-in locations, and I manage the planning of those check-ins using the
My Disney Experience Mobile app. My little ones enjoy “tapping in,” so the MagicBand was a great option for us. And since they are rechargeable, we’ve used the same MagicBands for a little over two years now.
Matthew, I can’t wait for all of you to arrive! Have the most magical trip. Take lots of photos, and if there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know!
See ya real soon,
Shantel
