Hey there, Jerry! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.
I'm so glad you've asked, Jerry. Right now, on top of theme park admission Guests are also required to make
park pass reservations to visit Walt Disney World. Park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the Walt Disney World Theme Park you'd like to visit each day. Before purchasing theme park admission, I highly encourage everyone to take a look at the
Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar. Some dates can fill up quickly and I'd hate for you to be stuck with a park ticket and no park to visit. The theme park availability calendar is broken down into three categories - Guests with park tickets only, Guests with a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Stay and Annual Passholders. You'll want to be sure you are looking at the calendar that most pertains to you since they do have different availabilities. I went ahead and took a look at the calendar for the end of July and great news Jerry, the calendar is showing wide open availability. If that's when you are planning on visiting, I suggest making those park pass reservations as soon as possible. Sometimes days can fill up rather quickly so the sooner the better in my book! To make a park pass reservation, you'll want to make sure you have your theme park tickets linked to your
MyDisneyExperience account. Then, you'll want to head over to the park pass reservation website. From there, you'll be prompted to select your travel party, pick a date on the calendar and then a park. If there is availability, you'll be taken to a confirmation page and have the option to make another selection for a different day. You'll go through this process until all of your days are selected. Once you are finished, you should be able to see all of your selections over in the itinerary section of your MyDisneyExperience account. Right now, park pass reservations are required for the foreseeable future. If for some reason this changes, you'll be able to find all of the information regarding the change over on the
Disney Parks Blog.
If you have any other questions, Jerry, please feel free to
come back and ask me. Enjoy your trip!
