Are reservations required for the Oceaneer club? The DCL app has no info for my cruise as far an itinerary of activities for the week of our voyage, nor what’s available at the Club as far as requirements for being accompanied vs unaccompanied by parents.

Ahoy there, Neroliza, and welcome back to planDisney! I see my fellow panelists have helped put some of your other questions on a course for smooth sailing, and as luck would have it, you've got me on deck to help you with this one! Now I know your cruise is coming up quickly, so let's get right to it!

When it comes to Disney's Oceaneer Club, I'm happy to inform you that reservations are not required at this time. During Disney Cruise Line's return to sailing, there was a brief period where capacity was limited to allow for social distancing, and reservations were required - but that policy is no longer in place! The only major requirement for little sailors ages 3-10 to be able to attend programming at Disney's Oceaneer Club is that they are potty trained!

Speaking of programming, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will come alive even more the moment you step aboard this October! Since activities, entertainment, and other offerings change frequently and from sailing to sailing, Guests are not able to see specific schedules until aboard, but once you are, details about everything from live music to dining rotations will be right there in the palm of your hand!

Here's an extra planDrew approved tip: be on the lookout for times marked as Open Houses at Disney's Oceaneer Club as well as Vibe and Edge. My family loves taking advantage of windows of opportunity to head to the youth clubs and experience some of the fun as a group! When we last sailed on the Disney Wish, this was especially awesome since it gave us a chance to see the completely redesigned clubs - and also an opportunity to take the slide! And remember, times not designated as open houses are typically secure programming, giving the kiddos an opportunity to safely enjoy the space monitored by the youth activities crew members - and adults a chance to relax!

I hope that helps you set a course for the right time to check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on your upcoming cruise, Neroliza! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others surface as you make your final preparations for embarkation day, please drop us another line here at planDisney!

    Bon Voyage!
