    Are reservations required for meals

    Welcome to planDisney, Rita!

Hip, hip, hooray! Your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is less than two weeks away. How exciting! As you are finalizing all the details of your upcoming itinerary, it is important to keep in mind that table-service dining options require a reservation. But should you find that you are arriving at Walt Disney World Resort without dining reservations in place, Hakuna Matata! There are a variety of options when it comes to taking a break and enjoying a delicious meal.

My first suggestion is to use Mobile Dine Way-Up Availability to enjoy some of your favorite locations. This is a great way to join a wait list for a location where you were unable to secure a reservation. You can join this list by scanning the QR code at the restaurant or by joining the walk-up waitlist through the My Disney Experience mobile app. When using the app, you will start by selecting the + at the bottom of the screen. Choose the Check Dining Availability option. Enter the number of Guests in your travel party, select the current day, and tap the Now link. This will provide you with a list of all locations with walk-up availability. If there is a dining spot at the top of your list, I recommend trying to join the list as soon as the location opens.

There are also a wide variety of incredible quick service locations located throughout Walt Disney World Resort. This is a great option when you want to keep flexibility in your day. A large number of these spots also offer Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering through the My Disney Experience app. I love using this feature throughout my visits. You choose the location and time you prefer to dine. Place your order and continue on with your day. When your arrival window opens, head to the location and tap" I'm Here, Prepare My Order". Your food will be freshly prepared, without having to stand in line. It can be a real-time saver!

While we are on the topic of food, I also want to mention the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be taking place during your visit. Holiday Kitchens will be available throughout World Showcase, with each offering a variety of small plates that are sure to delight. This is a fun way to dine around the world, no reservations needed!

I hope your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
