Hi there Stephen!
I'm happy to hEAR you're doing your research on the Disney Park Pass reservation system. Thanks for stopping by with your question!
The
Disney Park Pass reservation system was put into place to help manage theme park attendance and promote social distancing. By having Guests make a reservation for which park they plan to visit each day, they ensure that the parks don't get overcrowded, and Guests have room to be physically distant from others. With an Annual Pass or a theme park ticket with the
Park Hopper option, you have the option to "hop" to a different park each day after 2pm.
To be able to visit the second park of your choice, you simply have to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you plan to visit
and physically enter that park before you can visit another. It's important to know that visiting a second park is subject to that park capacity's limitations. The
My Disney Experience mobile app will send a push notification if the Park Hopper option becomes unavailable for a specific park. In all my visits since the parks have reopened, I've yet to receive one of these notifications, so that's good news! To answer your question, you
do not have to make a reservation for the second park you visit, but it is subject to availability each day. Park-to-Park bus transportation is being offered at all four theme parks right now, which makes "hopping" all the more easy!
I hope this helps with your planning! Come back and visit with any more questions you might have for us, we're happy to help.
