Hiya, Michelle!
Welcome to planDisney, friend!
Character dining at Walt Disney World Resort is a fabulous way to meet some of your favorite pals and enjoy a great meal. This is one of my favorite ways to save time during our family adventures. You have the chance to take a break, get off your feet, and have an absolute blast. Currently, table service locations do require a dining reservation. Character dining is an incredibly popular experience, and you can make your reservations up to 60 days in advance. Now if you find you are getting ready to arrive at The Most Magical Place on Earth without a reservation to dine with your favorite princess or pal, there are some options that may help you get that autograph!
My first recommendation is to keep
checking back for your desired reservation. Travel plans change often, and you may be surprised at what opens up before you arrive. There are also a few character spots that have a
Mobile Dine Walk-Up Availability. While these spots are not a guarantee this is a great option when trying to get on a walk-up list for a last-minute table. You can scan the QR code at the location or request to join the waitlist through the
My Disney Experience app. When using the app select
Check Dining Availability on the date you wish to secure a spot. Enter the number of Guests, select the current day, and click the
Now option. This will show you any walk-up availability. The spots are filled quickly, so I recommend joining the waitlist as soon as it opens. (Typically the restaurant opening time.) Character dining locations that offer this option are:
- Topolino's Terrace- Flavors of the Riviera
- Chef Mickey's
- 'Ohana
- Tusker House Restaurant
- The Crystal Palace
- Cinderella's Royal Table
- Hollywood & Vine
- Garden Grill Restaurant
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that these tips help you secure a spot with your favorite pals. Don't forget to bring your autograph book!
We'll see ya real soon!
