Are reservations required for bars and lounges at WDW Hotels ?

    Hi Andrew,

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question about lounges and bars availability within the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels.  There are so many things to do within each Resort hotel location, so I really appreciate you exploring what is available at your Disney Resort hotel.

At the time of this writing, all currently open Walt Disney Resort hotel bars and lounges do not require advanced dining reservations.  However, that pertains to locations which are not also considered a restaurant and are a simple bar or lounge.  Bars and lounges are open on a first come, first serve basis and are open to Guests currently staying at that particular Disney Resort hotel.  To check and see what may be available within your Disney Resort hotel you can write back with that information or select your specific Walt Disney World Resort Hotel from this link and then click the tab for "Dining".

Guests may make Advanced Dining Reservations at Disney Resort Hotels in order to dine at a table service location at another Disney Resort hotel than the one they are residing.  Guests may not however, visit another Disney Resort hotel without a reservation, such as to dine in a quick service restaurant or visit a bar or lounge.  The purpose of this is to manage physical capacity at all Disney Resort hotels and theme parks and thereby promote the guiding safety principle of physical distancing.

If you are interested in venturing out from the theme parks or from your Disney Resort hotel, may I suggest checking out your options for Dining at Disney Springs?  There are many bar and lounge offerings, as well as traditional dining and snack options, at Disney Springs that you could spend a whole day there doing just that!

Andrew here is a link for Dining Experience Updates which details the most current dining updates and enhancements during this global pandemic.  It is a good idea to check back for any new operational updates before your next visit since we are currently in the Phased Re-Opening of Walt Disney World Resort.  With a little planning and adherence to safety guidelines, you can make some Magical memories with your loved ones.

Please stop by and visit us again with any further vacation planning questions Andrew!  We are always happy to help you plan your next Magical adventure.
