Hi Scott! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so happy to hear that you are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort soon! Planning ahead is essential, especially since
Walt Disney World theme park tickets and Disney Park Pass reservations are both currently required to enter the theme parks. It is great to see that you are ready to get the planning started!
Before purchasing, check out the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to make sure all the theme parks that you want to visit are currently available for reservations. You will only need a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first theme park you plan to visit with your Park Hopper Option tickets, so just make sure that the first one is available.
When it comes to purchasing tickets, they all have to be the same type or they need to be separate purchases. To buy a 3-day ticket, you will have to add the Park Hopper Option to all three days. You can buy a 2-day Park Hopper Option ticket, then a separate 1 Park Per Day ticket for
Magic Kingdom Park, but for convenience and cost, I would go with the 3-day Park Hopper Option ticket.
Once your tickets are purchased, make your
Disney Park Pass reservations right away! They fill up, so it is super important to make them as soon as you have your tickets.
I hope this helps, Scott! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
