As a longtime DVC Member, you're clearly familiar with
Moonlight Magic events, which are after-hours experiences just for Members and their Guests. They include access to favorite attractions, character meet-and-greets with some special Disney pals, merchandise unique to the event, and complimentary snacks (aka FREE MICKEY POPS). I've had the opportunity to attend on a couple of different occasions and it is a night to remember!
Unfortunately, Joan, you won't be able to enter the early registration window for the February 27 event at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, since you'll be staying in a non-DVC resort on a cash reservation. But all isn't lost! While your Port Orleans stay won't directly grant you Moonlight Magic access, your veteran DVC status puts you in a prime position for some roaring good times come February. The general registration window for this event opens on February 8 and is open to all DVC Members (pending availability). So have your Member ID handy and be ready to swing into action like Tarzan through the jungle to snag a coveted reservation!
