I have reservations at Port Orleans-Riverside this June. On my arrival date, I have tickets to the Hoop Dee Doo show at 4pm. Check in at the hotel is at 3pm Do the resorts allow early check in? How would we get there quickly? Any tips for this scenerio?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Lori!

I like the way you plan! Starting your Walt Disney World Resort vacation with a finger-lickin’ feast at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue sounds terrific! Although your room may not be ready, you are welcome to check-in early on your arrival day.

Using Online Check-In is a great way to begin the check-in process before you arrive and it allows you to notify your Disney Resort hotel that you plan to arrive early in the day. I like that I can select the option to receive text messages alerting me to when my resort room is ready. Keep in mind this does not guarantee your room will be ready when you arrive. If needed, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services, and they can store your items until you are ready to retrieve them.

To get to the dinner show from Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside, you will first need to take Walt Disney World Bus Service to the Magic Kingdom. Then you must transfer to Water Transportation  to take you to The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. It is a short walk from the boat dock to the venue where the Hoop-Dee-Doo dinner show is located.

I hope this helps, Lori! Please visit us again if we can be of further assistance.

    Happy Planning!
