Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is such a fun resort to stay in, and we have stayed there many times. Your five year old will love it. I would recommend to request staying in Congress Park which is within walking distance to Downtown Disney or to stay in The Springs which is close to the main pool and Carriage House. You can rent bikes that will hold all your family and just bike around the resort. The pool has a wonderful waterslide and is zero entry which is fantastic. There is a little play area with Donald Duck shooting water to have fun in as well. The rooms are deluxe studios and one and two bedroom villas and you will actually be staying at a deluxe resort. At the Community Hall, there are multiple activities for kids of all ages. You will get a schedule when you check in. My children have painted little cars and did other crafts there as well. The two playgrounds, located at The Paddock and Congress Park, are so much fun to play on as well. As I mentioned above, you are within walking distance to Downtown Disney (or a short bus ride) and can play at the LEGO store or World of Disney or even get ice cream at Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop. Please send me a follow up question if I can help you further, Stacey. Have a magical vacation.
