    We have reservations at POR Sep 30-Oct4, 2017. We used a Disney travel agent and she was unable to get Free Dining for us. Does Disney ever open up more rooms for Free Dining after the initial opening date, and if so, where do I look for that info?

    Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. The fall season is a beautiful time of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Between Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you are guaranteed a magical time.

    Mickey always tries to help our budgets with some amazing Special Offers, and like many Guests, I consider a free Disney Dining Plan to be the best for my family. However, only a certain number of rooms are available, and a Resort hotel can quickly sell out.

    I remember a few years ago when after having my reservation all ready to go (including free dining), a distant cousin decided to come with us. Since we now would be five of us, my only choice was to switch Resort hotels. Late (very late) one night, I found availability, so I booked this room right away and the next day I called a Vacation Planning Specialist at (407) 939-1936, and had the original deposit transferred over to the new one. Make sure you speak to your travel agent about this scenario so he or she can help you out.

    One last tip: be sure to check other Resort hotels and adjust travel dates. It is possible that you find the rooms you're looking for... Happy planning!
