Have reservations at Pop for late February. Difference between it and moderate is around $260 for whole trip. I know moderate has mini fridges but is it really worth the $ difference??? Have stayed at POP before and liked it. I believe both have dbl beds

Hi, Derek!   I stayed at Pop Century for the first time earlier this summer and I really liked it!  What a fun place to stay!

Upgrading to a Moderate Resort is pure personal preference.   By moving up to the next level, you will get a slightly bigger room but still double beds (except for Coronado which has delightful queen size beds!)  The pool areas are nicer with pool slides and hot tubs, and the main pools at Moderate Resorts will have towels available.

Personally, we usually go for the upgrade to the Moderate Resort.   My family really enjoys Port Orleans French Quarter.  It does not feel as hectic as a Value Resort, and has a bit more of a relaxing vacation feel.   The refrigerator is a nice touch, and will cost you about $10 per day if you want one in a Value Room.

Here is what usually is the deciding factor:  if you plan to be constantly on the go and just plan to sleep, shower, and head back to the parks, stick with the Value.  If you want a new experience and plan to spend some time relaxing at your resort, the upgrade might be worth it.

Whatever you decide, sending you pixie dust for a magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
