Hello, We have reservations for 6:55pm at the primetime café and I am receiving a fantasmic voucher for the first show. We will be receiving that voucher from lunch at sci fi. Is this doable?

Hi, Allison, and welcome back to planDisney! My, oh my, what a wonderful lineup of food you're planning for your upcoming trip! Thanks for bringing your question to us about the timing of your meals and nighttime entertainment.

I took a look at the Hours & Events Calendar and found that Fantasmic! is being shown at 8:30 PM and 10:00 PM while you're there. Since your Sci Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant Fantasmic! Dining Package voucher is for the first performance, that means you'll only have a little over an hour and a half between your dining reservation at 50s Prime Time Cafe and the show. Seating begins for Fantasmic! 90 minutes before showtime, and you're asked to be seated no later than 25 minutes prior to the start. At that point, they begin to fill the dining package seats with standby Guests, if needed.

Unfortunately, I don't think this gives you enough time. If the restaurant is running behind at all, you'll miss the show, and best case scenario is you'll be extremely rushed through your meal. 50s Prime Time Cafe is such a fun restaurant and is most enjoyed when you have time to savor the full experience. I recommend keeping an eye out for an earlier dining time or making alternate dinner plans.

I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for. At the same time, Disney's Hollywood Studios has so much delicious food that you really can't go wrong. Personally, I enjoy eating dinner along Sunset Boulevard before Fantasmic! There are several Quick-Service options to choose from, so everyone in your group can get what they crave. This also puts you in a position to keep an eye on the line into the show so you can gauge when you want to join it.

Allison, I hope you're able to lock in a dining time that works for you, but if not, I'm sure you'll still find some great food. If you have any other planning questions, please bring them back to us here at planDisney.

    Have a magical trip!
