    We have reservations at 7:55pm at Akershus. Do you think it is still possible to eat and still get to see illuminations that starts at 9pm? If not is there another location we might could possible view this on another night?

    Hi Angela!

    Maybe!  If you got there early and was seated right away, then it would be possible.  My family generally spends about 60 to 90 minutes in a Table Service restaurant, including buffets with Disney characters.  If it wasn't a character dining experience then I would say you could definitely get out in time as long as you are seated on time and you eat quickly.

    However, since you are dining with characters then my answer is "it depends".  For instance it could be the case that everybody in your party is done eating, but you still have to wait for your favorite character to visit your table for pictures and autographs, etc.

    Dinner there is relatively expensive.  I would suggest making one or the other a priority and not rushing to do both... and thus do neither one really well.  For example, to get a good view for Illuminations, you're going to want to select your spot at least 15 minutes before (30 minutes if it's a real busy time of year).
