Hi, We have reservations for 8 people to eat at Trains End Restaurant. We would like to get some of the skillets! Can we order more than one kind of Skillet if some of us prefer plant based but others want all the Brisket? Or do we have to order one kind?

Hi there Jaime, it's great to have you back here at planDisney!

It looks like you've come to us again since your last query about Disney dining, and I'm happy to help you prepare for your next culinary quest! Now when I was reading your question it seemed to me like you might be referring to two very different dining locations (which I've luckily been able to eat at recently) and hopefully this can clear things up a bit before you head over:

If you're thinking of Trail's End Restaurant which is located at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, I had the chance to be among the final few folks who got to eat here before it closed for a while back in 2023 for a little reimagining and have since experienced what it's like now as a Quick Service dining location. Currently, the only skillet they have on the menu is the Settlement Skillet which features fried chicken, pulled pork, ribs, mashed potatoes and cowboy beans with cornbread. (They also have a plant-based Harvest Platter available for breakfast!) However, something about this tells me this isn't quite the place you had in mind!

Since you mentioned that you managed to snag reservations for eight of you and also mentioned both skillets as well as brisket, I hope that I'm on the right track when I feel like you're most likely referring to Whispering Canyon Cafe over at Disney's Wilderness Lodge instead. Not only are its surroundings very much different, but the dining experience is definitely much more memorable as far as the way the Cast Members interact with you!

Over at Whispering Canyon Cafe the dinner menu features their famous All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Signature Skillets that include The Traditional, The Land and Sea, The Pig as well as Plant-Based all currently at the same price. You'll be happy to hear that when we ate there this year our server graciously let us know that we could order different kinds of skillets to share between us since we each intended to order one, which was fantastic for someone like me who enjoys sampling the plant-based options out there and the wonders of how they can elevate each dish. (My husband and I absolutely loved the brisket that came with The Traditional skillet, so I can definitely relate to the folks in your party who are eager to devour it all!)

Now as with anything at Walt Disney World Resort, these offerings may always be subject to change without prior notice so it's a good idea to confirm with the Cast Members as you check in whether you still can order different kinds of skillets. If the fine folks serving you both delicious skillets and a humorous bit of sass really go out of their way to make it happen I always think it's worth an extra tip - especially for really making this one of the most unique dining experiences at any of the Disney destinations!
