How can I make reservations for the parks?

Hey there, Aaron. I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question about making a park pass reservation. Let's get you all set up.

The first thing you are going to need to do is to check out the Walt Disney World Theme Park availability calendar. I like to suggest doing this even before purchasing your tickets, just to make sure there is availability for the days you would like to visit. After you've taken a look at the calendar, then I would go ahead and purchase Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets. Right now, you are able to purchase 2 types of tickets. You can purchase a standard theme park ticket which allows you entry into one Walt Disney World Theme Park per day or you can purchase a standard theme park ticket with the park hopper option which lets you visit multiple Walt Disney World theme parks in one day. After you've purchased your tickets, the next step is to link those to your MyDisneyExperience account. If you don't already have an account, it's quick and easy to set up. Once you've linked your tickets, you can now head over to the park pass reservation website. From there you'll select the option to "Make A Park Pass Reservation". If you are not already logged into your MyDisneyExperience, you'll be prompted to log in next. Then you'll choose your party, select a date off of the calendar and then pick the park you'd like to make a park pass reservation at.  If there is theme park availability, you'll be redirected to a confirmation page and be able to start the process over for another day. I know it may sound like a lot of steps but the process really does walk you through all of it and it's pretty easy to do.

If you do purchase the park hopper ticket option, I wanted to let you know that park hopping does look a little bit different since its return at the start of this year. Currently, Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option. Then, you'll still need to make a park pass reservation for the first theme park you'd like to visit each day. You'll need to scan in and enter that theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other parks throughout the day, this sort of "activates" your park hopper option each day. Right now, park hopping hours are from 2:00 p.m. until each park closes in the evening. You will not need to make additional park pass reservations to park hop - just that initial one each day. To make park hopping a little bit easier, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is being provided. Around 2:00 p.m. or anytime after, you can head to the bus stop location at each theme park and look for the dedicated bus stop to where you'd like to go next. There will be a Cast Member working this area and he or she will want to verify that you do have the park hopper option before boarding the bus. This is just a simple scan of your MagicBand or ticket card and then you'll be on your way.

Aaron, I hope this helps you make your park pass reservations with ease. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to come back and ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
