Do you have to make reservations to park hop?

    Welcome to planDisney, Danielle!

There are some planned changes coming to Theme Park Reservations, so I’m glad you came to planDisney for details. Since I don’t know when you will arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, let’s go over the current and future theme park reservation rules.

For guests arriving through January 8, 2024, theme park reservations are required to enter a theme park. If you have a Park Hopper Option with your theme park ticket, you still need to make a theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit, and then you may park hop after 2:00 PM. You must visit the park where you made your theme park reservation before you can park hop. If you are arriving January 9, 2024 or after, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. Park hopping will still be available after 2:00 PM.

There are always new and exciting announcements coming to Walt Disney World Resort, so I recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog frequently before your upcoming visit to see what is coming next. If you have any future questions as you plan, please send me a message here at planDisney!
