If we have reservations for 5:45 at 1900 Park Fare will we make it back to MK for the electric parade/fireworks @8pm? This is the only day we can see the fireworks when there and also the only open reservation for 1900. Would love to do both if possible

Hi Will!  This is a tight schedule you will be trying to do but it is possible.  My first suggestion is to arrive a bit early for dinner and hope that at least you will be seated by your reservation time. If you arrive at 5:45 you will likely have to wait even then and not get seated until closer to 6pm. Disney's reservation system is on a first table available and not necessarily an exact time. So arrive early and maybe even get seated early.

Your next decision will be to either try taking the monorail to the park or the boat. The monorail will be quicker if you don't have a long line waiting for it. Both drop you off at the front so that is about equal distance to the entrance.

Once you arrive you are going to find Main Street extremely crowded for the parade viewing. Check out the train station to see if anything is open up on top and then check out the corner over by the Barbershop and Fire Station as that is where the parade will end/begin. Sometimes guests are so concerned about getting a prime curb side seat on the straight away of Main Street the corners remain open until the last minute. If the parade is scheduled for 8pm that night then the fireworks are likely to follow at 9:00 or 9:30. Often Disney will then do another parade after the fireworks so check your date on the calendar to see if they will be doing that. If that is the case then relax and enjoy your dinner and hop over to the park and see the Wishes show and stay for the second parade. It will be far less crowded and good seats will be available.
