Hi, Colleen!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sharing your question with us!
While some Guests may change their plans and cancel their existing reservations, it's tough to predict when it's going to happen and how many reservations will be cancelled for each day.
So my best advice if you want to visit the
Disneyland Resort is to pick a date roughly 120 days ahead so that you can make reservations as soon as the calendar is open. This is the best way to secure
tickets and reservations, and it's unlikely that you will find blocked dates if you plan three to four months ahead.
You can also consider
staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, as Guests staying inside the Disneyland Resort enjoy exclusive access to a
separate reservations calendar. This is a great trick if you can't plan your trips in advance, and I use it when my husband and I plan surprise weekend getaways.
I hope these ideas help you plan a fantastic trip, Colleen!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
