    I have reservations at Oga’s Cantina in the evening. Do we need to join a Boarding Group in the morning to be able to eat/drink there? Does the same apply if we want to eat at the Docking Bay 7 restaurant? We plan on getting to HS late afternoon.

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It seems like you have done quite a bit of resEARch for your upcoming trip to Batuu AND Walt Disney World Resort!

    A long, long time ago (2019), in a place not that far away, Disney did have boarding groups in place to enter this land. One could not shop, dine, or help Hondo smuggle coaxium away from the First Order without first securing a designated entry time. However, this restriction is no longer in place and everyone is allowed to roam Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, even people like me who've never seen Star Wars! (I may not be a Jedi or Sith Lord, but I am a foodie and oh my goodness, the Batuuan Beef Pot Roast at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo was out of this world!)

    Boarding Groups are currently in place, however, for those wishing to experience the newest attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Currently the way this works is guests are allowed entry to Disney's Hollywood Studios about half an hour before the park's official opening time. Then, once the clock strikes that opening minute, board groups are up for grabs in your My Disney Experience Mobile App.

    I'm really glad that you've already made your reservation to Oga's Cantina, one of the hippest places in the outskirts of the galaxy. This location is still pretty popular, and the only way one is allowed in is with a reservation. Definitely plan to check-in for your reservation about 5 to 10 minutes before and you'll be fine. I also wanted to add in that if you think you might want to build your very own droid or lightsaber, these experiences which are located at Savi's Workshop and Droid Depot both strongly encourage an advanced reservation.
