We have reservations at 9:50 on October 18, 2017 for breakfast at Crystal Gardens. I believe the park opens at 9:00 a.m. Do we have time to ride anything before breakfast? I have a 5 year old and an 8 month old. What ride or attractions do you suggest?

    Hi Shayna,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us!

It sounds like you have a reservation at The Crystal Palace which is a lovely character meal with Winnie the Pooh and Friends. If this is correct, then you certainly could have time to ride before your 9:50 a.m. breakfast reservation. You would need to make a Fast Pass+ selection for a ride at 9:00 a.m. and be sure that you get to the attraction by 9:15 a.m. As long as you are done with the ride and headed to the restaurant by 9:30 a.m. you should be fine. Schedule your remaining two Fast Pass+ selections after breakfast and then return to the resort for a nap or some pool time!

Given your little one's ages, I suggest either Peter Pan's Flight, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin or Dumbo the Flying Elephant. If you have a princess fan, you could also visit with Cinderella and Elena or Rapunzel and Tiana in Princess Fairytale Hall. Check out the Planning Guide for Pre-school Kids and Little Ones for a more comprehensive list of rides that might be good for young children.

Shayna, I did check the park hours for October 18th and Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open at 9:00 a.m. as you thought. I hope you know about the Let the Magic Begin show. Although there are no times listed for October 18th at this point, the show normally starts @8:55 a.m. With the Let the Magic Begin show, guests can enter the park one hour prior to the show to enjoy the shops on Main Street, U.S.A.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
