Are reservations needed for QS meals. IF not, are the lines long? Can you recommend some (breakfast in particular). Also, Is there any way of knowing if free dining service offers will be available in June, 2012? My guess is during slow months only. Thank

    Hi Mary Jane!

Dining reservations are not needed, nor accepted, for Quick Service restaurants; they are only used with Table Service reservations and special shows, like the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review which is a show and dinner!

Disney really offers discounts, including free dining, as a way to increase attendance in the theme parks and to increase the occupancy rate in Disney owned and operated hotels.  The summer months are very popular at Walt Disney World, so my guess is it's unlikely Disney will offer Free Dining in June; however, I don't really know.  I suggest that you visit the independent website MouseSavers.Com.  There you can see their database of what discounts Disney has offered and when over the past several years; that will give you a good idea of what might happen if Disney continues to offer discounts at various times of the year.

In the Magic Kingdom, my family really enjoys getting breakfast at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Liberty Square, near the Hall of Presidents.  We also enjoy getting pastries in the Main Street Bakery, but the line there is usually much longer than the line at Sleepy Hollow.  In Epcot, one of the best Quick Service location for any meal is Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion.  In Hollywood Studios, we like to stop by Starring Rolls Cafe for a morning pastry.

Enjoy planning a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
