Hey there Janet and welcome to planDisney!
When it comes to taking part in anything art, I'm happy to help folks and families discover just how many hands-on activities are available to them at the
Disney Resort Hotels! Though
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a bit further away, it's relatively simple to get there from the
Magic Kingdom Park entrance:
- As you exit Magic Kingdom Park you'll have to head left towards the bus loop in order to catch one of the complimentary Resort Buses that are organized by their destination on posted Bus Directory signage.
- If you're truly looking for the easiest way to get to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort for your Spanish Mosaic Art experience (or are perhaps running a little late from all of the excitement of the theme parks), taking advantage of Minnie Van Service will whisk you away for a more direct and time-saving route right from the park entrance as long as you're prepared to pay for the added convenience.
Be sure to alight in front of the
Gran Destino Tower to get to the Dahlia Lounge so that you can easily make your way there in time; Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is quite spread out with very diverse sections and multiple bus stops so you don't want to be one of those guests who are dropped off further away to make the trek all the way over. (That said, the grounds are so picturesque there would be a lot to inspire you along the way before you get started on your art!)
Something that I highly recommend is to arrive early for a better choice of seating - especially if you really want to take in those stunning views from the 16th floor. Spend some time roaming around to spot some examples of color combinations or tile work to get an idea of how you want your finished creation to look, as some folks can find it overwhelming with the vast variety of tiles to choose from! Another thing to consider is that following the activity itself you'll still need several hours to allow the grout to dry completely (which can get a little messy, so bring additional disposable wipes if you can) so take this into consideration if you've got anything else planned for your afternoon.
I hope this helps, Janet! Be sure to check out our
planDisney Guide to Transportation at Walt Disney World Resort, as well as the
episode of the planDisney Podcast where our pals Nimmy & Lizzie let Amiyrah Martin know all about
getting between the theme parks and the Disney Resort Hotels!
Wishing you all the best on your creative quest!
