We have reservations on May 19, 2017 for the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. Are there obstructed views from the terrace during the fireworks? Are we able to move from our seats? Is the garden view a better choice?

    Hi Robert!

Walt Disney World Resort's Fireworks Dessert Parties at Magic Kingdom Park are a fabulous way to experience the nighttime fireworks show. Not only will you enjoy an amazing buffet of delicious desserts, but you'll have prime viewing spots with a great view of Cinderella Castle! My friends and I enjoyed one of these events last fall, and we had such an awesome time - I can't wait to do it again!

Guests have two Fireworks Dessert Parties to choose from: the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, and the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. The dessert/beverage offerings at the two events are basically identical - the difference is the location of the viewing area. Guests who book the Tomorrowland Terrace Party will have reserved seating at tables along the edge of the restaurant patio. Guests who opt for the Plaza Garden option will be escorted by Cast Members to the Plaza Garden for viewing.

The seats at Tomorrowland Terrace offer excellent views, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. The patio offers a bit of a skewed view due to the location of the restaurant, but you can fully see Cinderella Castle from the seating area. The Plaza Garden viewing area offers a more centered view, as the garden is close to the center of the hub in front of the castle. The main difference between the two is the seating - the patio has it, and the garden does not. That being said, we enjoyed relaxing on the (artificial) grass in the Plaza Garden during our party.

The most exciting thing about your dessert party is that you'll get to see Magic Kingdom's all new fireworks spectacular, Happily Ever After. The new show is set to replace Wishes on May 12th. I can't wait to see what awesomeness the Imagineers have in store for guests!

I hope this helps answer your question - have a magical day! - Diane W.
