Hi there, we have reservations for magic kingdom. If we decide to did a dining reservation at steakhouse 71 for lunch and then come back to magic kingdom, do we lose our park reservation or entry for the day?

    Hello Christian,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It won't be long before you are strolling down Main Street U.S.A!

Although guests need to make reservations and have a valid park pass to enter Magic Kingdom, it doesn't mean you have to stay in the park all day. You are absolutely free to leave and return to the same park any time throughout your Disney day. In fact, I recommend taking a break. As much as I love all of the parks at Walt Disney World, staying from park opening to park closing without getting a little cranky at some point is almost impossible. Leaving midday for a meal (or even a nap) can really help you relax and recharge for an evening of fun.

Heading to Steakhouse 71 at Disney's Contemporary Resort sounds like a perfect plan. You can take the monorail (or even walk), relax while you enjoy an incredible meal, and then return whenever you are ready. Be sure to leave room for dessert. You'll want to try the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake!

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
