I have reservations for lunch at liberty tree tavern on Christmas day! I have been told there is an a la carte menu solely for lunch. How true is that? if there isn't, am I able to share the buffet with my husband? the buffet seems like so much food!

Hey there, Geneva! It’s so good to see you back here at planDisney! I’m so excited to hear about your Christmas trip, especially a wonderful meal at the Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom! At this time, lunch is only served in an All-You-Care-to-Enjoy format at Liberty Tree Tavern, and you can browse the scrumptious menu for yourself right on the Disney World website! An a la carte menu was available in the past and may return at some point in the future, but is not available at this time. In fact, many restaurants may have modified menus and offerings due to changes made since the reopening of the Disney parks. Please check out the Experience Updates dining page to see which restaurants are operational, many of which utilize Mobile Ordering and Mobile Dine Check-in right from the My Disney Experience Mobile App!

The All-You-Care-To-Enjoy offering at Liberty Tree Tavern is different from a buffet. The platters are brought directly to your table with enough food for however many individuals will be dining. The Cast Members are skilled when it comes to bringing enough food, but not too much! It is possible to request additional portions of items that you may need more of. Regarding availability of “to go” containers in case you have left-overs, this will be at the Cast Member's discretion on the day you visit. These requests are usually best handled on a case-by-case basis, but please know that your server will want to make sure you have the best experience possible, so I am certain they will find a way to accommodate you! However, I suggest that you arrive hungry, as the food is sure to be plentiful and delicious! Also, do not forget to leave room for the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake!

Geneva, I hope that this information helps you plan your next visit to Walt Disney World in a way that is best suited to your family's needs. I wish you the most spectacular holiday season and an amazing time celebrating Christmas at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Really, what could be better?

    See ya real soon!
