We have reservations for 12/28/20 - 1/1/21 and were looking forward to celebrating New Year's Eve at EPCOT. I see Disney announced EPCOT will close at 8:00 pm. Is WDW doing nothing special to mark midnight on New Year's Eve??

    Welcome to planDisney, Melissa!

It is a pleasure to answer your first question and help you create pixie-dusted memories for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

I believe there is nothing more special than being home during the merriest season of the year. Some of my favorite childhood memories were made while celebrating Christmas and ringing in the new year at the Walt Disney World Resort. That is why I am thrilled that you will get there just in time to catch the holiday magic that is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort from November 6 to December 30

While I am sure you will enjoy the reimagined holiday experiences, we still have not heard news on celebrations for New Year’s Eve. I recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog for updates as you get closer to your travel dates - they are my number one source for news related to Disney Parks. You are also welcome to visit us again soon, and hopefully we will be able to provide more information.

I love that you have chosen to spend New Year’s Eve at EPCOT! I highly recommend making dining reservations at one of the amazing restaurants located at the park. You can start booking your favorite dining destinations up to 60 days in advance, and if you need more tips and advice, please do not hesitate to visit us once again with more questions.

Thank you for stopping by, Melissa! I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a magical visit.

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
