Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Felicia!
I really think that a meal at
Kona Café is one of the best ways you can use a Table-Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan. A visit to
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is magical enough when all you're doing is exploring the gorgeous grounds, but adding a meal at one of the incredible restaurants there is the perfect way to spend a day.
Though menus are often subject to change to include new flavors and seasonal ingredients, at the moment, most of the steaks at Kona Café come with a side of arugula and braised cippolini. There are additional steakhouse-style sides you can order, like the Creamy Mashed Potatoes or some divine Lobster and Crab Macaroni and Cheese, but those sides are not included when you redeem your Disney Dining Plan credit. You are welcome to order those sides if you want them though, and then you can just tap your
MagicBand when the check comes to deduct a Table-Service credit and charge your additional sides to your Resort Hotel room.
One of the best parts of visiting Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is that it is home to my all-time favorite cocktail at Walt Disney World Resort: the Lapu Lapu. You can find it at
'Ohana, Kona Café, and even
Tambu Lounge, so grab one for yourself and think of me when you try it!
Have a magical day, Felicia!
