We had reservations for Keys to the Kingdom for our trip in November. Is there any updates on when this tour might be available?

Howdy Diane! It's great to have you back at planDisney to chat about your fall vacation.

Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is a fascinating peek behind the scenes of Walt Disney World's most iconic theme park. While booking this experience is currently unavailable during the phased reopening of the Disney Parks, I recommend checking the Events & Tours updates page periodically in case reservations for this or other tours open up for your travel dates. As of today, Guests may book Disney Private VIP Tours for a customizable adventure through the theme parks with a personal guide.

Diane, ever since I was a child I have been captivated by the history and inner-workings of all things in the Disney Parks. For someone like me, a behind-the-scenes tour is right up my alley, and I understand how disappointing it would be to miss out on an experience like this that you are surely looking forward to. If you are unable to take Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour, perhaps your family can come up with a different way to make your day in the Magic Kingdom Park especially memorable. Challenge each other to a Hidden Mickey hunt! Watch The Imagineering Story on Disney+ right before your trip, and visit locations in the park with a new appreciation for all that went into their creation. In preparation for next year's 50th anniversary celebration, party like it's 1971, and see if you can experience all of the attractions and some of the eateries that were available on opening day. Bring along some Disney trivia books or mobile apps and sprinkle some pixie-dusted knowledge on the day. The possibilities for unique theme park fun are endless!

Although our visits to Walt Disney World this year may be a little different than what we're used to, the theme parks remain a wonderful place to relax and enjoy ourselves at a time when we can all use some Disney magic. I hope you and your family have a memorable vacation this fall, and if there's anything else can we can do for you, stop by and see us again. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon!

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
