We're going to make reservations for the Hungry Bear Fantasmic! dining package, however I need to know when we have to make the food selections. Online reviews say you just have to make the reservation, not pay, but what about the actual food order?

Greetings, Elizabeth, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

This is a great question about the Fantasmic! On-the-Go Package at Hungry Bear Restaurant – and one that I have actually been wondering myself, so I went ahead and called Disney Dining to get the scoop. So, here’s how it works: First, you’ll want to call Disney Dining to reserve the time for your meal pick-up. You actually won’t have to worry about ordering your food ahead of time – you’re simply reserving the time slot to arrive at Hungry Bear Restaurant to place your order and pay. So, you don't have to decide what you want to eat until you arrive at the restaurant. For your arrival date of April 2, there are two showings of Fantasmic!, at both 9:00 PM and 10:30 PM. So, time slots are scheduled between 3:00 PM – 6:45 PM (for the 9:00 PM showing of Fantasmic!) or between 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM (for the 10:30 PM showing of Fantasmic!). For example, if available, you could select a time slot of 5:15 PM for the 9:00 PM showing. After ordering, paying, and receiving your food, you’ll also receive your voucher for entry into the reserved viewing area for the show.

Upon arrival at Hungry Bear Restaurant, you’ll have the option of ordering from special Southern favorites like barbecue chicken, salmon, St. Louis-style barbecue ribs, and plant-based skewers, in addition to the regular items on the Hungry Bear Restaurant menu. Each main course also includes delicious mashed potatoes, honey-glazed carrots, and cornbread. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

So, when you’re ready to reserve your time, please call Disney Dining at (714) 781-3463 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you! Time slots tend to fill up quickly, so I recommend calling as soon as possible to prepare for your upcoming April 2 visit!

Please stop by with any additional questions, Elizabeth! I’m all EARs!

Have a Fantasmic! vacation to the Happiest Place on Earth!
