Hi George!
Yes, it used to be that certain nighttime attractions and Fireworks shows were held for the weekends since that's when larger crowds would come out during off-peak season. However, I'm not sure that there's such thing as "off-peak" season anymore at the Disneyland Resort!
I've enjoyed the Fireworks Spectacular at Disneyland on nights when I didn't expect it. The same applies to Fantasmic! as well as World of Color at the
Disney California Adventure Park.
The best recommendation I can offer is to check out the entertainment schedule on the Disneyland website. It usually includes all shows and events that will be offered up to four weeks out.
The way to access the entertainment schedule is easy:
1. Visit
Disneyland.com 2. Click on "Parks & Tickets"
3. Scroll over to the right column of the window and click on "Entertainment Schedule"
4. Once there you can filter your search by day, week or month and the calendar will show everything available for the dates you've selected.
Also, keep in mind that if you purchase a dining package for certain shows, you can get a preferred seating voucher. This is true for
Fantasmic! and World of Color. If you ask me, nothing beats enjoying a delicious meal and a great view of a Magical Disney presentation to go along... just something to keep in mind!
I hope this helps!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Wishing you an amazingly fun & Magical time at the Disneyland Resort!
See Ya Real Soon,
