Howdy, Susan! Get ready for some hand-clappin', foot-stompin', rootin'-tootin' antics with the Pioneer Players when you dine at the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! This is my absolute favorite dining experience at the Walt Disney World Resort, and no matter how many times we go, the side-splitting comedy and high-spirited music that fill Pioneer Hall keep us coming back for more!
Susan, if you're traveling by ferry from Magic Kingdom Park to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, it's recommended to allow 60-90 minutes for travel time. The ferry ride itself is about 15-20 minutes, and what I love most about it is that it takes you directly to The Settlement at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground, so you'll be just a short walk away from Pioneer Hall. You do want to allow extra time for loading and unloading of the ferry, as well as time in case you have to wait for the next ferry to arrive (they usually run every 15-30 minutes).
I'd also recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the doors open so you have adequate time to check in and get your table assignment before the dinner bell rings! The feasting and fun start right away, so you don't want to miss one minute of this experience! If you find yourself arriving earlier than expected, you can always take some time to visit the horses that call
Tri-Circle D Ranch home. The stables at The Settlement are open daily until 5 PM for guests who'd like to stop in for a "neigh"-borly visit!
Susan, the dinner show lasts about two full hours (it won't feel like it, though, and if you're like me, you'll never want to leave!) so you can expect to be leaving Pioneer Hall right around 6 PM to head back to Magic Kingdom. I'd plan for at least 60-90 minutes before you would arrive back to the park for the night, which should allow you enough time to catch
Happily Ever After on Main Street, U.S.A. - talk about a practically perfect Disney day!
I hope this is helpful, Susan, and I hope you have the absolute best time at the Hoop-Dee-Doo! Don't forget to save room for the most legendary dessert and to practice your washboard skills before the big night! Spoon's up; it's going to be a magical night!
See you real soon,
Alison
