We have 6:15 reservations at Hoop Dee Doo and will be at MK. I understand there is a boat to take us over to see the show. Where do we pick it up? How long should we allot for travel time? Can we take the boat back to MK to see the evening fireworks?

Hi Jill! You will love how easy it is to get from the Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness Resort to enjoy the great Hoop Dee Doo show.

The Fort Wilderness boat departs immediately out in front of the Magic Kingdom entrance. It is just about the most convenient transportation there. The right side lines are for Fort Wilderness and the left side lines will be for the Wilderness Lodge resort. The boats run similar to the buses in that they come about every 15-20 minutes. The trip itself takes about 12-15 minutes and is very enjoyable. The boats are large enough that you do not have to fold down your strollers for the trip.

Once you arrive at the Fort Wilderness marina it will just be a couple minute walk to Pioneer Hall where the Hoop Dee Doo show is held. If you arrive earlier take time and walk down to see the Disney stables where many of the park draft horses are housed as well as Cinderella's little ponies. There is also a trading post located in this area if you need to do more shopping.

When the show is over you can walk back to the marina and wait for the Magic Kingdom boat. Be sure and check park hours for that day so you know when the Wishes show will be held. If you are running late you can always watch from the beach and enjoy it in a different way. Boats run back and forth until an hour after the park closes.

It is great planning when you reserve the Hoop Dee Doo on a Magic Kingdom day as it is easy to go back  and forth. All Disney resort guests may use the boat transportation so that is not a problem! Have a great time!
