We have reservations for hollywood studios for December 7 and reservations for building light saber for december 8th, how can we change dates for this to occur on the same date? We can not switch reservations on either?

    Bright suns, Karen!

I can understand why you are hoping to get all the plans aligned for your Disney’s Hollywood Studios day. Sounds like you have big plans for your time in Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! My son is a Star Wars fan of the “First Order” so I know he would love the experience of building his own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop. Thrilled to hear that you have reservations for this amazing experience at the Black Spire Outpost.

Sounds like you are well aware of needing to have a Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios on your lightsaber build day. The same way that you want to change your reservations, there are similar Guests out there who also need to tweak their plans. So that should be encouraging!

There are several options that might do the trick for you. First, I would suggest leaving your reservation intact at Savi’s Workshop and that you simply keep checking the Park Pass Availability calendar for your desired date. I can say from experience that Guests are making changes to their My Disney Experience plans on a daily basis; it’s how I snagged my park pass for Disney’s Hollywood Studios just a few days ago for my upcoming vacation in November!

That said, I also know how you want to finalize everything in advance of your travel. So another idea would be to call and chat with one of the wonderful Cast Members to see if they are able to use the Force to make all your plans dovetail together.

Finally, once you arrive, there’s always the last ditch plan to check with Guest Services as cancellations and changes to itineraries do happen. Keep in mind that if you are unable to get a park pass on the same day as your Savi’s Workshop reservation, you must cancel at least one day prior to avoid a cancellation fee.  Hoping that you can work a Jedi mind trick and have everything work out perfectly!

Set a course back to planDisney with more questions. And then get ready to make that jump to lightspeed because your vacation is almost here!

May the Force be with you!
