Reservations for HDDR @ 5 pm. I booked online - pick up tickets at a guest services desk or just show up w/my confirmation number? Also, we're driving to Ft. Wilderness - when should we arrive at the parking lot for the bus to Pioneer Hall to check in?

    Margaret:

Although there's a Will Call window at Pioneer Hall for Hoop Dee Doo it's a dice toss as to whether there's a line to pick up your tickets. I'd get your tickets ahead of time just to make your arrival quick, but there's also a list with names on it at the entrance.

The internal bus ride from the outer parking lot to Pioneer Hall is 5 to 8 minutes depending on whether it makes stops, and you can take pretty much any bus that says Settlement on it whether it's the Orange, Yellow or Purple Line. I typically recommend the Orange Line simply because it goes straight down the main thoroughfare and you can get a good overview of the resort.

Disney tells you to arrive 45 minutes ahead of time, but that's really to take your picture (there will be a line).  Cast members seat diners pretty quickly, so arriving just to stand around can wear my patience a little thin. If you have a small children in your party, thankfully there is a new playground nearby along with the Settlement Trading Post.

Arrive by 4:15 at the latest and you'll be fine!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
