Hi Cheray,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am excited to see you planning for a group to visit the Walt Disney World Resort!
If you are going to need 10 rooms or more, you can contact
Group Reservations to start planning your vacation. If you are celebrating and need help planning a special event during your group visit, check with
Disney Meetings & Events. Having planned a visit for a larger group several years ago, I have a few suggestions.
First, decide how folks will pay for their rooms. If you are traveling with an organization or business that is covering the room costs for everyone, you will just need to make sure that the Guests in each room have a credit card on file for incidentals. If folks will need to cover their own room costs, you will need to make sure that room assignments are made accordingly with payment arrangements pre-determined.
Next, decide how may days you will need theme park tickets. With my group, folks paid for their park tickets on their own and they purchased through Disney Group Sales using our group reservation number. When you speak with a group representative, they will give you more specific details about ticket options.
Third, be sure you have a
My Disney Experience account and are able to connect with the rest of your group through the
My Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. You need to be connected to share plans. Sharing plans will be critical once you start making
Disney Park Pass system reservations and
advanced dining reservations.
Finally, I strongly suggest that you pick a few reliable planning assistants from among your group. They will be able to help you make dining reservations because you can only have one dining reservation as the lead Guest during a given
meal period. Make note of your
dining reservation window and mark that date on your calendar!
Cheray, I hope this helps you get started! Sending you lots of planning patience as you plan a trip with your group. We are delighted to welcome you to a
world of magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
