Hello there Cynthia! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your service!
I'm so glad you were able to take advantage of the great
promotional offer for eligible US military members for Disneyland Resort Hotel Rooms. It's such a wonderful opportunity for military families to be able to visit the "Happiest Place on Earth" more often!
I spoke to a helpful Cast Member, and received more detailed information for your stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. He did say that as long as your sister's name is also listed on the hotel reservation, she is at least 18 years of age or older, and has a government-issued photo ID that matches the additional name you list on the hotel reservation to show to the front desk, she should be able to check-in. If she is the first person to check-in, she will need to present a credit card to the front desk for any incidentals during your stay, and then you would be able to update the credit card if you'd like during check-in. When you arrive to the hotel, you will need to visit the front desk to show your military identification as well.
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is one of our family's favorite places to stay during our trips! From the moment you hear the pianist playing beautiful music in the lobby, it just feels like home. There are some delicious dining options on-site such as
Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet at Storytellers Cafe, and our favorite quick service location,
GCH Craftsman Grill. The Baked Nachos from GCH Craftsman Grill is a must order meal for us during our stay!
I hope this is the information you were looking for, Cynthia, and it's helpful for your upcoming trip! If we can help with any other questions, please do not hesitate to
come back and ask!
Have a magical day,
Melissa
