Hi Steve!
We're so happy you found your way to planDisney. We love helping fellow Guests maximize the magic in their Disneyland Resort vacations. With just one week until your visit, I'm sure you're eager to firm up your pixie dusted plans, so let's take a look at your question.
I'm so glad you noted that there is a special-ticketed event on February 9th as Disneyland Park is hosting a
Sweethearts' Nite from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The park will actually close at 8:00 PM for Guests holding standard theme park tickets. Event Guests will have wristbands, and Cast Members will start to lead day Guests towards the Main Entrance at that time. I know that's likely not the news you were hoping to hear, but I'm glad you asked so you are not caught off guard on your park day and still have time to make adjustments, if needed.
If you have
Park Hopper tickets, you can hop to
California Adventure which will be open until 10:00 PM that night. If you have a 1 Park Per Day ticket and are interested in upgrading to a Park Hopper with this news, you can take a look at your options right in the
Disneyland Mobile App. Head to the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "My Tickets & Passes". Underneath each ticket, you will see an option to "Change Ticket". This will show you what options are available to you. If you have specific questions, you can also reach out to the Cast Members in
Guest Services who will be happy to help!
While it may not have been what you were planning, an evening at California Adventure can be extra special. Wandering through
Avengers Campus after the sun goes down and hopping on
Radiator Springs Racers at sunset are some of my favorite memories with my family. You'll be able to catch the last week of the
Lunar New Year Celebration - a joyous festival spreading well wishes for the year ahead with special entertainment, rare character interactions, and delicious food. If you like a nighttime spectacular, it doesn't get much better than
World of Color - ONE. This is one of my favorite shows filled with music and nostalgia, honoring Disney storytelling from the beginning with Walt himself.
Steve, I truly hope this was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions or need any tips and tricks, you know where to find us here at
planDisney.
Magic awaits,
Tara
