Hi Mary,
Welcome to planDisney! I have taken several
Fireworks Cruises and they are one of my favorite Enchanting Extras to add to our vacations. My family enjoyed the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Cruise last year as a special celebration for an engagement in our family.
It sounds like you’re already aware that the cruise departs from and returns to
Bayside Marina at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. You’re asked to arrive at the marina 1 hour and 45 minutes before the fireworks start time. Once you board your boat, you’ll enjoy a tour around the Crescent Lake area before heading towards World Showcase Lagoon, where your boat will be positioned for prime fireworks viewing! After the fireworks end, you’ll return to Bayside Marina. The entire experience lasts about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Based on that information, I think it should work to make your
Beaches & Cream reservation for around 2 hours after your scheduled cruise time, or maybe a little longer if you don't feel like walking at a brisk pace from the marina to the restaurant.
If you are celebrating something on this vacation, make sure to let them know when you make your reservation, Mary. We had a lovely “Happily Ever After” banner on our boat last year, but I’ve also seen banners for birthdays and general congratulations. And I absolutely must mention that if your entire fireworks cruise party is visiting Beaches & Cream, that is the perfect opportunity to tackle the Kitchen Sink! My friends and I attempted to finish the sundae on a trip last year, and while we made a good effort, we could have used a few more people to help reach the bottom of the bowl!
I hope that helps with your reservations, Mary. It sounds like you have some magical activities planned for your upcoming vacation. Don’t forget that
dining and Fireworks Cruise reservations can be made 60 days in advance. Fireworks cruises are a very popular offering so you’ll want to book as soon as possible. If you have any more questions, please
come back and see me at planDisney!
