I have reservations for early january at the contemporary tower lake view. Im traveling with my wife, 4 and 2 year old. Should I spend extra for the MK view? Isnt it too noisy? Family 1st time at Disney. Does all theme park rooms have views of the castle?

Hi Christian! I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how quiet the main building of the Contemporary resort is. Many guests feel that since the monorail runs through this original resort that there would be noise from that as well as from the restaurants. I have stayed there and was shocked at how quiet my room was. The doors open out to an inside hallway and the way the building is constructed the rooms are not really over the busy areas. The monorail is very quiet and I enjoyed actually going into the hall and just watching it come through.

All rooms will either have Bay Lake or Magic Kingdom views.  Families with children especially love the Magic Kingdom views as there is something very magical about seeing the castle lit up at night. I find the Magic Kingdom more special after dark then during the day so a room that has that view is definitely a special room.

The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian have some rooms that will have Magic Kingdom views but they are fewer then the Contemporary and often not guaranteed like you can do at your resort. Those are the only choices for resorts with that view. If your budget allows I would certainly surprise your family with a view. I am sure with a two year old you will enjoy the time you need to spend in the room when napping is taking place.
