Hi Tammy! I would be happy to help you with all of your questions concerning the great
Fort Wilderness Resort. It is a place my husband and I call home for several months each fall as we bring our dogs and "camp" with our motor coach.
The Premium sites will offer you the longest concrete pads available and the closest loops to many of the great amenities. Each site will come with a grill and heavy picnic table as well as the water, sewer, and cable hookups. Some of the sites are wooded while others are more open. You cannot request specific sites but you can note on your reservation what you prefer.
We have our own golf cart and definitely recommend one while staying at this resort. It is the largest resort in area and getting around means either the internal buses or walking or biking. All three of these options are good and we use them but it is always nice to just jump into the golf cart and head directly where we want to go. You can
Rent a Golf Cart at the front desk but it is highly recommended you make this reservation way in advance. They only have a certain number of carts and especially n weekends and holidays they will be totally sold out. Rental prices are not inexpensive but like I said it is a fun way to get around. When it is holiday time many of the guests decorate their sites and we often just enjoy an evening of going from loop to loop to see what is happening.
If you have any more questions about Fort Wilderness please let me know and I will be glad to help you out.
