If we have reservations for Disneyland on Thursday Oct 17th, would we be able to transfer them to this event and pay the difference, if any?

Ghoulish greetings and welcome to planDisney, Paige. Our site has 999 questions, but there's room for one more. And yours is a question that I'm simply dying to answer.

I'm so glad to hear that you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time. It's one of my favorite times of the year and Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party is a big part of the reason why. Based on the recent spine-tingling news posted on Disney Parks Blog, it looks like you will be visiting the resort on a day when one of these bashes takes place.

I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who shared that tickets must be purchased individually and can only be purchased on the Disneyland website or Disneyland app. Because of this, I'm afraid you won't be able to apply the value of your current theme park tickets to purchase tickets for the bash. You can purchase separate tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash in addition to your theme park tickets to enjoy the special event on the day of your visit, or you might even want to reschedule to use your theme park ticket for a different day or visit. My husband and I will often purchase tickets to the special event and take advantage of entering the parks up to three hours before the event starts (subject to change) and then enjoy a full day with a 1-day theme park ticket the next day.

You still have some time to decide what you might want to do as ticket sales have not yet been announced for this frightfully fun event. I recommend keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog for any news and updates. No matter what you decide to do, your visit will be absolutely magical. Be sure to make a pit stop in "Radiator Screams" to check out the fall décor. The residents really go all out with their Haul-O-Ween decorations.

Paige, while my answer may have been scary and not what you wanted to hear, I hope the information I shared is still helpful. I hope that everything works out and you have a spooktacular time at the Happiest Place on Earth.

    Happy haunting!
